Marvin Prater

Marvin has over thirty years of experience in forest and agricultural land management, timber appraisal, timber sales, land sales and acquisitions. Marvin served from 1996-2007 as Oconee County Soil & Water Conservation District Commissioner; and from 2015-2021 as a founding member of the Oconee County.

Conservation Land Bank. Marvin is a 1992 graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resource Management; A Navy veteran who served as an equipment operator with the Navy Seabees during Operation Desert Shield & Storm. Marvin was Honorably discharged as Petty Officer Second Class after eight years of service.
